What to expect

The physical examination is the single most important diagnostic tool that the practicing clinical veterinarian has to best evaluate your animal’s health status. During the physical examination, the veterinarians at BNA will ask you many questions, some of which you may never have thought to consider. You need to understand that the specialized training that the BNA doctors have received allows them to understand your pet in a slightly different way than it ever been analyzed before (unless it has seen a holistic veterinarian previously).

The inital examination typically runs about 50 minutes, we don’t clock watch but do try to keep on schedule. Oftentimes new clients will bring in a sick pet that has been to quite a few vets prior to us and becuase of this the animal  has a complex and lengthy medical record that requires a bit of time to go through. Please forgive us if we are not running on time, we know that your time is valuable, but sometimes it takes a little bit extra to give each animal that comes walks through our door the best medical care we can provide.

One of the hallmarks of holistic medicine is its use of increased exposure between the practitioner and the patient. The Dr’s at BNA feel that the more they get to see your animal, the more they can deliver the most effective healing advice possible. Please understand that it may take a few more visits in addition to the INITIAL examination for our Dr’s to develop a thorough understanding of the processes occuring in your critter as well as develop a path towards recovery that suits both you and your animal.
