    1: Where were you born?
    Sturgis, Michigan

2:Where did you live before coming to our area?

I grew up in Michigan and went to college at Michigan State University. This is my 2nd time living in Colorado since graduating from vet school, and I never intend to leave again!

3:Why are you interested in animals?

Animals have an amazing instinctual way of living that makes them much more “grounded” than most of us humans. Their lack of ego makes them incredibly forgiving and loving.

4:What are your favorite animals to work on?

I mostly love working with dogs and cats. I especially enjoy caring for geriatric patients.

5:Do you have any amazing or funny stories to tell about working with animals?

I have witnessed many amazing medical recoveries and have been repeatedly inspired by the potential for healing that our animal friends possess

6:Why did you become a veterinarian?

I decided to pursue veterinary medicine when I was in high school because I knew it would marry my interests in science and my love of animals. What I didn’t know was how profoundly my life would later be shaped by future experiences with patients and clients.
7:What are your favorite things about being a veterinarian?
Much of what we do is like being a medical detective. Each case is uniquely challenging in both finding the diagnosis and formulating a treatment plan. Helping animals and their guardians is greatly rewarding.
8:What are your favorite things about working at Boulder’s Natural Animal?

The opportunities for healing and wellness are greatly increased with an integrative medical approach. I am especially excited to be using homotoxicology ( modern homeopathy) which stimulates the body’s own healing mechanisms

9:Tell us about your pets and your husband and children.

I am married to Nathan, and we have 3 children-2 boys, Sage and Jonah, and our girl, Solee, along with our cat, Itso, and our 12-year-old yellow lab, Summer.

10:Do you have any hobbies?

I enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, and sewing.
    11:What sports do you like?
I LOVE watching football, especially when my son, the Broncos, or Michigan State are on the field.
12:What do you want people to know about you that is really really cool?
I love taking things apart and fixing them. I love tools and hope to take a woodworking class soon. I have recently discovered that I’m rather balanced on a skateboard and look forward to mastering some basics, to the delight of my 11 year-old son.
13:Where did you go to veterinary school? When did you graduate?
I graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997
14:What are your goals in life?
To live with joy while keeping my family and patients happy and healthy.
