When I was three my mother brought home two black kittens from the local humane society. I named my kitten Pinky, after my favorite color, and during Pinky’s first vet visit, I knew instantly I wanted to be a veterinarian. That early spark led me to my studies at Texas A&M University where I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2007.
My approach to veterinary medicine blends the best of both worlds: traditional medicine and holistic therapies. I’m a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA), a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT), a Certified Peaceful End-of-Life Practitioner, and have spent years working in the pet food industry. I use diet, Traditional Chinese Medicine, supplements, laser therapy, myofascial release, conventional diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals to create the most effective treatment plan for each individual patient. I believe in using whatever tools, traditional or alternative, that will help your pet live their best life.
I love finding creative, individualized approaches for each patient and putting a strong focus on nutrition, mental health, play, and quality of life. At the heart of my work is a simple mission to empower you to be a knowledgeable and confident advocate for your animal’s health and happiness.
Outside of the clinic, I’m a proud mom to two wonderful daughters and the human to two rescued cats, Fiona and Fritz. I’m also absolutely smitten with pugs and anything with a flat face! On my days off, you’ll likely find me climbing rocks and frozen waterfalls or having fun recording my podcast, Tails of Truth: The Truth About Veterinary Medicine.
